I want my fellow parents to understand and remember that breaking curses doesn’t always have to be some grand gesture. Although it can be.. that curse you broke doesn’t have to go viral, that curse you broke doesn’t need external validation, and that curse you broke doesn’t have to be announced or publicly acknowledged. Sometimes the deepest-rooted curses are found in the small intricate details of our daily lives and often get overlooked. Sometimes breaking a curse is simply, tucking your kids in bed every night, gently waking your kids up for school in the morning and speaking affirmations over them instead of yelling, asking and listening to how their day was, keeping your lights on, having dinner together, coloring with your babies, showing up to events, praying over your children, not nagging your husband, not hitting your wife, not cheating, not arguing in front of your kids, considering your partner in your decisions, putting that drink down, getting out of bed every day! Someone’s happy home is someone’s healing home! Don’t let social media humble you to the point of downplaying what you overcame!!
